Quote of the moment
"The least slip on the part of my companion and I should be dead…. Yet I was more worried about my own possible clumsiness than his.""

Climb Guide -> Southern Sandstone Database -> High Rocks -> Hut Boulder
The hut boulder is a free standing pinnacle with the remains of the old sandstone climbers club hut behind it. There fairly worn bolt on top to act as belay. Ropes should not be thrown over the block. Access to the top is via soloing, and soling back down when finished. Crack route is the easiest and most suitable climb to solo. Do not abseil, and under no circumstances should the boulder be lead. The gear would just rip and badly damage the rock.
This area goes from the blank wall capped by a large overhang, next to a large oak tree, in front of the entrance, to the far side of the hut boulder.
